Please read these terms carefully before booking a consultation or purchasing a product. They explain how Tara's consultations and products work, what customers can expect, the guidelines that help keep the experience respectful and safe, and the policies that apply to bookings, products, privacy and customer responsibilities.
Tara by Jyoti Malhotra provides spiritual, traditional, interpretive and guidance-oriented services and products. Depending on availability, services may include Astrology, Tarot, Vastu Shastra, Healing & Protection, Paranormal Guidance, Spiritual Guidance, crystal-related guidance, and occult/spiritual guidance, together with other services specifically described on the website. The exact scope, format, duration, availability and method of a service may vary.
Our approach is personal, thoughtful and guidance-oriented. Consultations may draw upon traditional systems, symbolism, interpretation, practitioner experience, intuition and information shared by the Customer. The purpose is to provide perspective, reflection and guidance relevant to the Customer's circumstances, while leaving personal choices and decisions with the Customer.
Astrology services may involve information such as date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, charts, planetary positions and other information supplied by the Customer. The Customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information. Incorrect or incomplete information may affect an interpretation.
Tarot readings may use traditional tarot symbolism, card spreads, interpretation and intuitive guidance. A reading may be positive, negative, neutral, uncertain, uncomfortable, unexpected, different from what the Customer hoped to hear, or different from another reading or practitioner's interpretation.
A Customer is free to disagree with a reading, but disagreement alone does not constitute a defect in the service or create an automatic refund entitlement.
Vastu services may involve residential or commercial properties, land, buildings, rooms, floor plans, entrances, directions, layouts, photographs, videos, surrounding locations and other property-related information.
Where a property does not belong exclusively to the Customer, the Customer must have appropriate authorization, permission, consent or other lawful basis to provide information about it and request services concerning it.
Tara may provide spiritual or traditional guidance described as Healing & Protection. Such services may involve spiritual practices, traditional methods, guidance, rituals or other approaches described for the particular service.
Healing & Protection is not medical treatment. Tara does not represent that such services cure disease, replace medical or psychiatric treatment, guarantee recovery, or guarantee prevention of illness.
No permanent or absolute protection from negative experiences, alleged spiritual attacks, curses, paranormal experiences, emotional difficulties, relationship problems, financial problems, illness or other events is guaranteed.
Paranormal Guidance is a distinct service offered by Tara. Customers may seek this service regarding experiences they personally consider paranormal, unexplained, spiritual or unusual.
Examples may include unusual activity in a home or property, unexplained sounds or movements, perceived presences or entities, recurring unusual experiences, perceived spiritual or energetic disturbances, alleged paranormal activity, experiences associated with a location, concerns about an object or place, or other experiences the Customer considers unexplained or paranormal.
Paranormal Guidance is provided within an appropriate spiritual, traditional or interpretive framework. Tara does not automatically represent that a reported event is objectively supernatural merely because a Customer reports it.
Tara does not guarantee identification of a paranormal cause, existence or identity of an entity, identification of the cause of an unexplained event, removal of an alleged entity, elimination of unusual experiences, permanent protection, permanent resolution, or that an experience will never recur.
Where an experience may reasonably have a medical, psychiatric, psychological, structural, electrical, plumbing, environmental, security, technological, acoustic or other practical explanation, the Customer should consider appropriate professional investigation.
Customers may approach Tara regarding matters they describe as black magic, curses, evil eye, negative energy, spiritual attacks, entities, possession, occult activity, spiritual interference, energy disturbances or unexplained spiritual experiences.
A Customer's report does not, by itself, establish that an alleged supernatural condition objectively exists. Tara may discuss such matters within a spiritual or traditional framework.
Tara does not guarantee removal of black magic, curses or entities, elimination of spiritual attacks, permanent protection or prevention of future experiences.
Tara does not authorize or encourage violence, poisoning, physical harm, self-harm, animal cruelty, destruction of property, trespassing, harassment, dangerous chemical use, dangerous ingestion, retaliation or unlawful activity.
Tara's services are not medical services. Astrology, tarot, Vastu, crystals, spiritual guidance, Healing & Protection, Paranormal Guidance and related services must not be treated as substitutes for qualified medical care.
If a Customer is experiencing serious mental-health concerns, including severe anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm thoughts, hallucinations, delusions, severe panic, severe emotional distress, inability to function, thoughts of harming another person, or other serious symptoms, the Customer should seek appropriate professional assistance.
Customers experiencing mental-health conditions are specifically advised to consult a qualified psychiatrist or other appropriately qualified mental-health professional.
Customers should not stop, change or replace prescribed medication or professional treatment because of information received through Tara. Tara's services are not emergency medical or psychiatric services.
Astrological indications, tendencies, possibilities or interpretations should not be treated as guaranteed future events.
Astrology, tarot, Vastu, spiritual guidance, Healing & Protection, Paranormal Guidance and related services may involve traditional systems, symbolism, interpretation, intuition, spiritual beliefs, practitioner experience and information supplied by the Customer. These services are provided within their relevant spiritual, traditional or interpretive frameworks. They do not guarantee a particular prediction, event, relationship, marriage, reconciliation, employment, promotion, business result, financial result, property result, medical outcome, mental-health outcome, spiritual outcome, healing outcome, protection outcome, paranormal outcome or other personal outcome. Circumstances and personal decisions can change. Customers remain responsible for decisions they make after receiving guidance from Tara.
Depending on the service and circumstances, consultations may be conducted by telephone, online, remotely through another method designated by Tara, or in person.
The final format is determined by Tara based on the nature of the service, availability, logistics, privacy, safety, location and feasibility.
In-person consultations may be relevant to services such as Vastu. Tara may visit a Customer's home, office, commercial property, land or other premises.
Tara may decline entry, postpone, discontinue or leave an in-person consultation where there is a reasonable concern regarding personal safety, harassment, threats, sexual misconduct, violence, intoxication, unsafe premises, dangerous animals, unlawful activity, coercion, undisclosed persons, inappropriate conduct, privacy or logistical feasibility.
An enquiry or appointment request is not necessarily a confirmed booking. A booking becomes confirmed when the required payment and booking confirmation requirements have been completed.
Depending on the service, Tara may request name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, contact details, photographs, property photographs, floor plans, addresses, locations and other information reasonably required for the service.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information. Incorrect information may affect the service.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that information they provide about themselves is accurate and may lawfully be provided.
Where a Customer provides information concerning another person, the Customer represents and confirms that they have the necessary authorization, consent, permission, right or other lawful basis to provide that information for the purpose for which it is being submitted.
This includes, without limitation, names, dates/times/places of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, photographs, addresses, locations, property information, workplaces, business information, family or relationship information, documents and other identifying information.
Where information relates to another person's house, residence, office, business, land, building, property, workplace, premises or physical location, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that they are authorized to provide such information and request services concerning it.
The Customer remains responsible for ensuring that information they provide to Tara was obtained lawfully and that they are permitted to disclose it. Tara does not encourage hacking, impersonation, secret collection, unlawful tracking, stalking, surveillance, deception or unauthorized access to another person's information.
Tara may refuse a request where information appears to have been obtained without appropriate authorization or where the purpose appears to involve stalking, surveillance, harassment, intimidation, manipulation, unauthorized investigation, relationship interference, matchmaking misuse, personal targeting, fraud or another improper purpose.
Providing information to Tara does not transfer responsibility for the lawful acquisition of that information from the Customer to Tara. The Customer remains responsible for ensuring that the information was lawfully obtained and may be shared.
This does not exclude any responsibility that may legally rest with Tara under applicable law.
A confirmed paid consultation may be cancelled within 6 hours of confirmed paid booking. Where the cancellation request is received within this 6-hour period, a full refund will be provided, subject to applicable law and legitimate payment-processing limitations.
The 6-hour window is intentionally limited because consultation work may begin shortly after payment confirmation, including chart preparation, analysis, review of submitted information and other service-related preparation.
After the 6-hour period, there is no automatic refund entitlement. Any cancellation request is considered solely at Tara's discretion.
If Tara approves a cancellation after 6 hours, a cancellation charge of 20% or more may apply, depending on the circumstances and the work already completed. The remaining eligible amount, if any, may be refunded. The amount ultimately refundable may depend on preparation, chart-making, analysis, scheduling, administrative work, reserved consultation time and other reasonable booking-related effort. Where substantial work has already been completed, the applicable cancellation charge may be higher than 20%.
A Customer may request rescheduling up to 6 hours after the confirmed booking. Rescheduling is subject to availability and the nature of the service.
One reschedule is permitted on this basis. Any further rescheduling request is solely at Tara's discretion and is not automatically guaranteed.
Repeated, excessive or last-minute requests may be declined.
A Customer may be treated as a no-show or non-participating Customer where they fail to attend or meaningfully participate in a confirmed consultation without appropriate notice. This may include, without limitation, failing to join at the scheduled time, joining only after a substantial portion of the scheduled session has passed, being unreachable on the provided contact details, having the phone or communication device switched off or unavailable, failing to respond after a disconnection, joining and then leaving without returning, joining but remaining unresponsive, repeatedly failing to respond to reasonable attempts to begin or continue the consultation, or otherwise failing to make the scheduled session reasonably usable. A no-show or non-participation does not automatically create a right to a refund or replacement consultation.
If a Customer arrives late, the consultation may still proceed subject to Tara's availability. The consultation duration will not be extended to compensate for a delay caused by the Customer.
No extension of the scheduled consultation time will be provided solely because the Customer arrived late. A sufficiently late arrival may be treated as a no-show if the remaining consultation time is not reasonably usable. Tara is not required to make repeated attempts to reach a Customer who has failed to attend or participate.
Where a consultation is interrupted because of a technical, internet, telephone, platform or connectivity issue, Tara may attempt to reconnect or arrange a reasonable continuation or rescheduling depending on the circumstances.
If the interruption is caused by the Customer's side, a 15-minute waiting period will apply after the disconnection. Tara may make one reasonable attempt to reconnect or contact the Customer during that period; multiple repeated attempts will not ordinarily be made. If the Customer does not reconnect or respond within the waiting period, the session may be treated as interrupted from the Customer's side. Depending on Tara's availability, the extent to which the session has already been completed and the circumstances of the interruption, Tara may provide one appropriate rescheduling slot. No refund will be automatically provided in such circumstances.
If the consultation was already more than 80% complete before a Customer-side disconnection, a completely new full consultation will not be conducted. Only the remaining portion, ordinarily corresponding to the uncompleted 20% of the session, may be accommodated through the applicable rescheduling arrangement.
If the interruption is caused by Tara's side, a 15-minute waiting period will be observed to allow Tara to reconnect or restore the session. If the connection cannot be restored within that period, the Customer will be eligible for rescheduling, with no automatic refund.
A refund following a Tara-side interruption may nevertheless be considered by Tara based on the extent of service already provided and the circumstances of the interruption. For example, where substantial work has already been completed, such as chart preparation, chart-making, analysis or other consultation preparation, the fact that the discussion portion was interrupted does not automatically create a full-refund entitlement. Any refund remains subject to Tara's assessment and applicable law.
Technical interruptions caused by circumstances beyond either party's reasonable control may be handled according to the circumstances, including reconnection, continuation, rescheduling or other appropriate resolution.
If Tara needs to cancel or reschedule a confirmed consultation, the resolution will depend on the reason and circumstances requiring the cancellation or rescheduling.
Where applicable, Tara may offer the Customer an alternative date or time for the consultation.
Depending on the reason for the cancellation or rescheduling and the work already completed, the Customer may be offered a full refund, a reschedule, a partial refund or, where appropriate, no refund or rescheduling at all. The applicable resolution will be determined by Tara based on the reason for the cancellation or rescheduling, the work already completed, the consultation status, Customer conduct and any relevant safety, privacy, operational or legal considerations. Where there is a reasonable concern regarding abusive, threatening, fraudulent, malicious, harmful, unlawful or otherwise improper intent or conduct, Tara may refuse to provide further service and may decline a refund or rescheduling, subject to applicable law.
Where substantial consultation work has already been completed, such as chart preparation, analysis or other service preparation, a refund may not be appropriate merely because the discussion portion of the consultation could not be completed. Any refund or other resolution remains subject to Tara's assessment of the circumstances and applicable law.
A Customer does not become entitled to a refund merely because they disagree with, dislike or reject an astrology, tarot, spiritual or other interpretive reading.
This includes situations where the Customer:
A statement such as “your reading is wrong” or “that is not possible” does not, by itself, establish a refund entitlement.
Consultations involve time, preparation and interpretive effort. Subjective dissatisfaction with an interpretation does not automatically reverse the work performed.
Tara currently accepts online payments only. Cash on Delivery (COD) is currently unavailable.
Where payment fails, remains incomplete, is reversed or is not received, the booking/order may remain unconfirmed or be placed on hold.
Customers should contact Tara regarding genuine payment disputes before initiating a chargeback where reasonably possible. Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes may result in review, cancellation or restriction of future transactions, subject to applicable law.
Where a refund is approved under these policies, it will be initiated through the applicable payment method or payment provider. The time taken for the refunded funds to appear in the Customer's account may depend on the payment provider, bank or applicable payment-processing system.
Crystals are naturally occurring materials and may vary in colour, shade, size, shape, transparency, inclusions, texture, patterns, surface and weight.
Natural variation is not automatically damage or a defect. Product photographs may be representative and the actual natural specimen supplied may differ from the photograph.
Unless a particular product is expressly and legally labelled for consumption, crystals and minerals sold by Tara are NOT food products and are NOT intended for ingestion.
Customers must not eat, swallow, chew, lick or suck crystals; grind, crush or pulverize them for consumption; mix crystal powder into food, beverages or supplements; dissolve crystals in drinking water; soak crystals in drinking water and consume the water; place crystals into beverages; or prepare “crystal water” for drinking.
The natural origin of a mineral does not mean that it is edible or safe to ingest. Some minerals contain naturally occurring substances or compounds that may be hazardous or toxic if ingested.
Customers must not infer safety from natural appearance, traditional use, spiritual use, mineral name, “healing” terminology, “energy” terminology or online trends.
Tara does not recommend preparing drinking water using ordinary decorative, spiritual or mineral crystals.
Customers must read all applicable product descriptions, labels, safety information, care instructions, handling instructions and warnings before purchasing or using a crystal product.
Where specific safety information is provided for a particular mineral, Customers must follow that product-specific information.
Subject to applicable law, Customers are responsible for consequences arising from intentional misuse, including ingestion, crystal water, grinding, unauthorized modification, improper handling, improper storage, ignoring warnings or using a product for an unintended purpose.
Tara's bath salts may contain salts, herbs, flowers, botanicals, essential oils and other ingredients specified for the particular product.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, bath salts are intended for external bathing use and should be dissolved in water according to product instructions.
Customers should not rub the concentrated dry mixture directly onto the skin unless the particular product expressly permits such use.
Bath salts are not food products unless expressly labelled otherwise. They must not be eaten, swallowed, drunk, added to food, added to beverages or used as supplements.
Customers should review ingredients before use. Individual reactions may vary, particularly where products contain essential oils, herbs, flowers or botanicals.
If irritation, burning, rash or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary.
Bath salts should be stored sealed, dry, away from humidity, away from excessive heat and contamination, and according to packaging instructions.
Natural herbs and flowers may deteriorate, dry out, discolour or decompose when stored improperly or for excessive periods. Customers are responsible for following the product's shelf-life, best-before information and storage instructions.
Product-specific shelf life / best-before: as stated on the applicable product label or packaging.
Refunds/returns for physical products may be considered where a product or its packaging has been genuinely damaged, subject to verification and applicable law.
Customers claiming that a product or its packaging was damaged must provide clear photographic and video evidence reasonably sufficient to demonstrate the claimed damage. Tara may request multiple photographs and videos, including images or videos from different angles, close-up views, wider views of the package, the product and the surrounding packaging, and additional evidence reasonably required to assess the claim. Evidence should, where applicable, clearly show the product itself, the damage, the inner packaging, the outer packaging, the shipping label and the condition of the package when received. Tara may also request an unboxing or opening video where available or reasonably relevant to the claim. Order details and relevant courier documentation should also be provided where available.
The photographic and video evidence should be sufficiently clear to allow Tara to assess whether the claimed damage existed when the shipment was received and whether it may have occurred during transit or otherwise before delivery.
A simple written or verbal assertion that an item is damaged, without the required supporting photographic and video evidence, will not ordinarily be sufficient to establish a damage claim. Submission of evidence does not automatically guarantee approval.
Tara may review the evidence, request further photographs or video, request additional information, review packaging, contact the courier, request return of the product, inspect the product and determine whether the claim is approved.
For an approved damage claim, Tara will communicate the applicable return-shipping arrangement to the Customer. Return and replacement will be arranged by Tara subject to replacement availability, and the applicable return/replacement window will depend on product availability and logistics. Where a refund or partial refund is approved instead, it will be handled according to the applicable resolution and these policies.
Natural inclusions, lines, texture, surface characteristics, colour variation, shape variation and differences from catalogue photographs are not automatically defects.
A return/refund is not automatically available merely because a Customer dislikes the colour, shape, size, pattern or natural appearance of a crystal, expected a “perfect” stone, or changed their mind.
For a wrong product, missing product, quantity discrepancy or other apparent shipment error, Customers must report the issue within 12 hours of receiving the shipment and provide the order number together with clear photographic and video evidence of the received package, shipping label, packaging and contents.
For an approved claim, Tara will arrange the applicable return and replacement, subject to replacement availability and the circumstances of the case. The applicable return/replacement window and arrangement will depend on product availability and logistics.
Where replacement is unavailable or a replacement is not appropriate in the circumstances, a refund or partial refund may be provided based on the case, subject to Tara's assessment and applicable law.
Customers should retain the product, packaging, shipping label and other relevant evidence until Tara has completed the review and communicated the resolution.
Tara may ship products within India subject to courier serviceability, product availability and operational circumstances.
Delivery estimates are indicative and may be affected by courier delays, weather, public holidays, strikes, logistics, remote locations, incorrect addresses, transportation disruption or force majeure.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate name, house/flat number, building, street, locality, city, state, PIN, phone number and other delivery information.
Where delivery fails or incurs additional costs because the Customer provided incorrect or incomplete information, the Customer may be responsible for resulting costs, subject to applicable law.
If a shipment appears delayed or lost, Customers should notify Tara promptly. Tara may coordinate with the courier, and resolution will depend on tracking, courier investigation, evidence, circumstances and applicable law.
Depending on services used, Tara may receive identity/contact information, birth information, property information, photographs, documents, consultation information, order information, communications, payment-related information, shipping information and account information.
Tara does not record consultations in audio or video format. However, Tara may take written or electronic notes during or after a consultation for purposes such as providing the service, maintaining continuity across consultations, recording relevant service information, customer support, dispute resolution, safety, legal compliance or other legitimate business purposes. By booking or using a consultation, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to reasonable note-taking for these purposes.
Tara will seek to maintain appropriate confidentiality over Customer information and will not intentionally disclose private Customer information merely for personal curiosity, entertainment or unrelated purposes.
Customer information may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including where necessary to support multiple consultations, repeat or regular Customers, ongoing customer relationships, order/service history, legal or accounting requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, safety or other legitimate business purposes. Information will not be retained indefinitely merely for convenience.
Tara does not intend to sell, trade or provide Customer personal information to third parties for matchmaking, dating, marriage proposals or personal introductions merely because another person requests it.
Tara will not provide one Customer with another Customer's private phone number, email, address, birth details, photographs, consultation information, property information, personal communications or account information merely to facilitate a relationship, proposal, investigation or personal introduction.
Customers must not attempt to use Tara's services to obtain another person's private information for matchmaking, dating, marriage, stalking, surveillance, locating a person, monitoring a partner or ex-partner, manipulating a relationship, interfering with another relationship or harassment.
Information may be shared with appropriate service providers where reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes such as payment processing, shipping, hosting, technology, communications, customer support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, safety, dispute resolution and protection of rights.
Tara may disclose information where required or permitted by applicable law, regulation, court order, governmental authority or other lawful process.
Reasonable measures may be used to protect information, but no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Customers must not use Tara's website or services for harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, surveillance, impersonation, fraud, payment abuse, unlawful investigation, privacy invasion, sexual misconduct, discriminatory abuse, malware, hacking, unlawful activity, malicious manipulation or harming another person.
Customers must not use information obtained through Tara to threaten, stalk, harass, manipulate, interfere with another relationship, facilitate unlawful conduct or target another person's property.
Tara does not intend to pressure Customers into purchasing services by claiming that they will inevitably suffer illness, financial loss, relationship breakdown, curse, paranormal attack, spiritual harm or family harm if they do not purchase an additional product or service.
Customers remain free to decide whether to purchase additional services.
Tara may refuse, cancel or discontinue services where reasonably justified, including fraud or attempted fraud, harassment, threats, abuse, sexual misconduct, stalking, privacy invasion, unauthorized information requests, matchmaking misuse, malicious intent, unlawful activity, unsafe locations, unsafe conduct, intoxication creating safety concerns, violence, coercion, repeated policy violations, unreasonable abusive demands, impersonation, fraudulent orders, misuse of spiritual services, suspected harmful intent or conduct creating a legitimate safety, privacy, legal or operational concern.
Tara is not required to continue an in-person consultation where doing so would reasonably expose Tara or another person to danger, harassment, abuse or unlawful conduct.
Tara does not guarantee uninterrupted website availability. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical failure, hosting issues, software updates, security incidents, third-party failures, internet outages or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Payment, shipping, communication, hosting and other services may involve third-party providers and may be subject to their respective terms and policies.
Website content may include proprietary text, graphics, photographs, branding, logos, illustrations, product descriptions, written material and designs. Such material may not be reproduced, commercially exploited, copied or modified without appropriate permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
Products may be limited, temporarily unavailable, discontinued, replaced or modified. Tara may change products, packaging, prices, service availability, descriptions and website content, subject to applicable law and rights applicable to already-confirmed transactions.
Tara is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, government restrictions, strikes, courier disruption, transportation disruption, telecommunications failure, widespread technical failures, cyber incidents, war or other extraordinary events.
This does not exclude rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
Customers should contact Tara using the official details below. For complaints, please include the Customer name, order/booking number, date, relevant product/service, description of the issue, supporting photographs/videos where applicable, relevant communications and the requested resolution.
